Academic Maps Our Psychology Program provides you with a strong grounding in the science of mental processes and human behavior, while allowing you to sharpen your skills through one of two capstone experiences–a practicum or an advanced research project. All Psychology majors complete six foundation courses, seven additional courses selected from two specified sets, and the senior capstone experience. Individuals seeking certain mental health positions in the State of Maine may need to complete the Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician II Certification. Psychology students admitted prior to 2001 may elect to complete either the B.A. in Behavioral Science, Psychology Concentration, or the B.A. in Psychology. Psychology students who matriculate in 2001 or later will pursue the Psychology degree.
