UMPI Class of 1986 Bachelors in English, Speech, Communication, Theatre
Update by Frank Pastizzo, alumnus
“When I returned to the states after overseas assignments in the military, I was accepted into the University of Maine at Presque Isle Theatre and Education departments. The intimate campus and close-knit feel was an ideal setting for growth. My professors, Zubrick, Johnston, Hall, Scott, Anderson, Dow and the rest were complete professionals and made learning a pleasure. I truly miss those days, the Pioneer Playhouse and my college. I visited and spoke there in 2007. It was a wonderful Homecoming!”
Frank taught high school in England for the Department of Defense and acted professionally in London and Edinburgh until 1990 and then worked as a teacher and administrator with a disabilities provider organization for another decade while forming his and his wife Susan’s company, Warm Up The Workplace, Inc. He has presented keynote performances with comedy, music and lectures in forty-four states and for the US military members and families in Japan, Korea, Germany and across the US. Frank continues to tour nationally and remains in a teaching position in Lake Placid, NY.
