Based on Maine law, the University of Maine System requires students to be immunized against certain diseases and submit official immunization records prior to attending classes, or participation in University activities. Please read our Immunization Compliance Requirements carefully and submit all required documentation to the Point N Click portal.
Whether you are hunting for insurance for the first time or are replacing an expired policy, there are many options available to prospective and current students of the University. While our office does not assist with the process of applying for insurance, we can connect students with resources to access health insurance.

Current and prospective athletes are required to complete yearly paperwork, upload valid insurance information, and provide additional medical documentation prior to their participation in athletics at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Student Athletes should refer to the Student Athletic Pre-Participation Checklist. Any questions regarding the checklist and requirements should be directed to the Head Athletic Trainer.
Before moving to campus, students should consider gathering their medical records from their provider(s) and submit them to the Health Center. This is to ensure a smooth coordination of care while attending the University should a student need to access the Health Center.
* If the student is a minor, they will need their legal guardian to complete a consent to treat form prior to attending UMPI. Having the form completed prior can help prevent delays in accessing care at our offices.
Judith Pimental
Hello! My name is Judith Pimental. I am a family nurse practitioner and director of health services at the
university. I am pleased to be a part of the health care team here at the University of Maine at Presque
Isle. I received my bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent and received my
master’s degree in nursing from Spring Arbor University. I have lived in northern Maine with my
husband for the last 18 years, but we are originally from Massachusetts. We have made Aroostook
County our home. I enjoy spending time with my family, observing the beautiful countryside that this
area has to offer, and fostering wellness in our community. I look forward to assisting with campus
health care needs and welcome you to contact our office if you have further questions about services
offered.
