Community Connections

Our Houlton Educational Outreach Center is more than just a satellite campus, it’s a building that provides a wide variety of educational opportunities through our partners and serves as host to many community events and activities. Click here to learn more about our educational partners.

The Center has worked for more than 30 years, moving to its current location in August 2001, to provide students with the very best in educational experiences and services.  The vision for the current Center first took shape in 1999 as the result of a grassroots community effort to re-establish a formal home for higher education in the southern Aroostook area.

The partners involved with Houlton Center understand the importance of those efforts still today.  HOC strives to be an integral part of the greater Houlton community, taking steps to develop relationships with the community and its members.

The Houlton Center participates in several local committees, including a Downtown Revitalization committee.  Opportunities for internships with the local businesses and organizations are also a vital part of the community connections.
