AUGUSTA–The 30th Maine Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be observed on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in Jewett Hall Auditorium at the University of Maine at Augusta. A luncheon buffet will precede the ceremony at 12:00 noon at the Fireplace Lounge, Randall Student Center. The Induction Ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. for this year’s two honorees.

The first inductee is Darylen McQuirk Cote of Caribou, a tireless champion for women’s health, equality and education. She graduated from the University of Maine 1972 with a major in English and a minor Speech/Education. She went on to earn her master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2001. The second inductee is Governor Janet T. Mills of Farmington, a lawyer, legislator, District Attorney, Governor, mother, caregiver, advocate, and role model.
