The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Fine Art Gallery will showcase recent work by the University of Maine at Presque Isle art faculty from Jan. 18 to Feb. 19.

The Art Faculty Group Exhibition will be on display in the Reed Gallery located in the university’s campus center. Participants in the exhibit will include E. Clifton Boudman, Leo-Paul Cyr, Renee Felini, H. Anderson Giles, Don Cyr and Ann Kittredge. The UMPI art faculty works in a wide range of mediums including photography, sculpture, paint, prints, and music, which provides a diverse foundation for the exhibit.

“While each full-time faculty member has had a solo exhibition during the recent past, it has been a number of years since they participated in a group exhibition”, stated Sandra Huck, Reed Gallery Director. “It will be nice to see current work with the quality these individuals produce. I am also pleased to include our part-time instructors in this exhibit”, said Huck. “I think it is time for the community to have an opportunity to see their work as well.”

A reception with the artists will be held on Friday, Feb. 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This reception is part of Presque Isle’s First Friday Downtown Art Walk event, which is held on the first Friday of each month. There is no charge to attend the reception or view the exhibit, and the public is encouraged to attend. The exhibit will also be open during the World Cup Biathlon events in early February.

The Reed Fine Art Gallery is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or by appointment. The gallery is closed Sundays and university holidays.
