University of Maine at Presque Isle alumna Erin Pelletier has done a lot since graduating in 2009—including moving to Atlanta and graduating from law school—and now she can add national game show contestant to her list. Pelletier and her boyfriend Troy Connolly will appear tonight on the premiere episode of the new TBS game show Separation Anxiety.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle Men’s Basketball team will be participating for the very first time in the USCAA National Tournament, and the University is ensuring that all fans who can’t join the team in Pennsylvania have an opportunity to gather in Presque Isle for the big game. The University will host a viewing party of the game on Wednesday, March 2, in the Owl’s Nest, located on the first floor of the Campus Center. The game will be live streamed online and tip-off is at 8 p.m. All are invited to attend this free event and cheer on the UMPI Men’s Basketball team.
A cappella returns to the University of Maine at Presque Isle when Ball in the House takes the stage in Wieden Auditorium on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m. This night of musical harmony is free and open to the public.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle is proud to present Shakespeare & Company for a one-night-only performance of the Bard’s beloved comedy Twelfth Night on Tuesday, March 8 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium at Wieden Hall. Troupe members will provide a short talk-back for the audience after the show. All campus and community members are invited to attend this special, free admission event. Donations for future cultural arts programming will be accepted at the door.
The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Art Gallery is proud to present O Time Your Pyramids by Portland artist Julie Poitras Santos, from Friday, March 4 through Friday, April 15, 2016. The public is invited to view the exhibition throughout the show’s run and attend the Gallery Reception on Friday, March 4 from 5-7 p.m., which is being held in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk. The event will include a durational performance featuring five UMPI Art students and a Gallery Talk at 5:30 p.m.

Gentile Hall in a way that its namesake would approve—with wellness activities, healthy snacks and a celebration of community. The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s very own Caleb Ward will serve as the next speaker in the 2015-2016 Distinguished Lecturer Series on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m., in the Campus Center. Ward, who is the third UMPI student ever to serve as a student Distinguished Lecturer, will deliver his talk Mongolia: The Research Trip of a Lifetime. His talk is free and the public is encouraged to attend the event.
