The University of Maine at Presque Isle will host its annual Campus Club and Community Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Campus Center.

For the past 14 years, the University of Maine at Presque Isle has kicked off the academic year with this event, which allows campus clubs and organizations to showcase and promote their groups to the student body and the community.

The event also gives area businesses an opportunity to participate in the event and introduce students to the local services and products available to them. The Fair has the added benefit of giving local businesses a chance to meet UMPI students as prospective part-time employees.

Members of the campus and community are invited to attend this event

“This is a great opportunity for students to discover the many organizations on campus, learn more about academic majors and see what local businesses have to offer them,” Chris Corsello, Dean of Students, said. “It’s also a chance for our student body to interact with the local community in a casual setting. We really look forward each year to offering this opportunity to our students and people in the region.”

The Fair is free to all, and there will be door prizes, product samples, coupons, and give-aways. For more information, contact Bonnie DeVaney at 768-9750 or Barbara.DeVaney@maine.edu, or Heidi Blasjo at 768-9582 or Heidi.Blasjo@maine.edu.
