The University of Maine at Presque Isle is welcoming three new employees this Spring 2016 semester.
Don Gibson joins the University’s Residence Life Office as Assistant Director. He was most recently a Mobile Emergency Services Specialist for the Aroostook Mental Health Center. Previously, he was employed by Sears Holding as a Human Resource Lead and an Assistant Store Manager, and by UMPI from 2003-2009 as its first Area Coordinator for Residence Life. Gibson earned his Associate degree in Criminal Justice from UMPI in 1998, his Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice from UMPI in 1999. He also completed his Law Enforcement Pre-Service Course from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in 2006, his Emergency Medical Technician – Basic from Northern Maine Community College in 2011, and his Maine Department of Health and Human Services Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician – Crisis Services Provider in 2015. He also brings valuable work experience from positons with the American Red Cross, KidsPeace National Center for Kids in Crisis; and the Fort Fairfield and Bar Harbor police departments.
Lisa Pucci joins the University as an Administrative Specialist in the President’s Office. Pucci most recently worked as a compliance analyst and travel coordinator for Cary Medical Center. She also has worked as an office manager with Adler Team Sports in Ohio, and has a wealth of experience in education and in administrative support. Pucci earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies with a Mathematics concentration from UMPI in 2007.
The University also is welcoming an individual who will be serving the campus in a System-wide role. Victoria Winslow joins the Information Technology team located at UMPI as an Information Technology Specialist. She most recently worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA based at UMPI. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and Recreation from UMPI in 2015. She is the recipient of the UMPI Outstanding Senior Student Leader of the Year and the Outstanding Recreation Student of the Year, both for 2015.
