Build your own nest.
The vast majority of first and second-year students live on campus, taking advantage of easy access to classrooms and campus activities. The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s three residence halls offer a variety of room styles and living arrangements. We take great care in housing placements to ensure that every resident is set up for success.

Gender Neutral Housing
The Department of Housing & Residential Life at the University of Maine at Presque Isle seeks to provide a living environment welcoming to all gender identities; one not limited by the traditional understanding of gender as only male and female. Gender-inclusive housing allows individuals to live together regardless of biological sex. This policy has been developed to better provide a supportive environment where all residents can feel safe in their housing assignments with respect to their gender identity and gender expression. Offering gender-inclusive housing is supportive of creating a more inclusive campus climate and community. However, space is limited and students must apply to a gender neutral space if requested before rooms are filled.
Accommodations
University of Maine at Presque Isle recognizes the importance of providing reasonable accommodations when necessary for students with disabilities to access campus housing and fully participate in the residential experience. Students with a documented disability, including medical, physical, psychiatric, mobility impairments or chronic illnesses who require reasonable accommodations can request an accommodation by contacting the Student Support Services Office. You will be required to complete forms found on the Disability Services webpage. If approved for a housing accommodation, Student Support Services will notify the Housing & Residence Life Office.
