As the restrictions and policies connected with COVID-19 continue to evolve, the University of Maine at Presque Isle will provide updated information and resources on this page. Our goal, as always, is to ensure the health and safety of our entire campus community and anyone who visits campus. The most comprehensive and up-to-date information can be found on the University of Maine System’s Together for Maine website. For quick reference, please see below for brief info on vaccination requirements and face coverings.

Vaccination requirements

For Spring 2023, all students who attend class in-person or participate in on-campus activities must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (and upload vaccine card info to the UMS online portal) or obtain a System-approved exemption.

Please note: As of the May 2023 term and going forward, students and employees are strongly encouraged to obtain COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots when eligible, but will not be required to do so.

Face coverings

Face coverings are optional and welcome in all indoor and outdoor spaces with three exceptions. They may be required at the discretion of instructors in instructional settings, including classrooms and labs; in individual offices unless waived by the relevant employee; and when required by the CDC.

For more information, visit the University of Maine System’s Together for Maine website.
