The University's Distinguished Lecturer Series presents Dr. Klaus Lackner, Ewing-Worzel Professor of Geophysics at Columbia University and the Director of the Lenfest Center for Sustainable Energy.

In his talk "Innovations in Sustainable Energy: Capturing Carbon Dioxide from the Air," Lackner will discuss his research on developing innovative approaches to energy issues of the future, focusing on environmentally acceptable technologies for the use of fossil fuels.

Junior Olympics

The 2010 USSA Cross Country Skiing Junior Olympics will take place right here in Presque Isle!

March 5-14

The event will include one of the largest field of competitors of any Nordic ski competition ever held in Maine. Opening ceremonies will be held on March 7 in Gentile Hall.
