In addition to the institution’s NECHE accreditation, several academic programs within the University are accredited by specific agencies: viz., all Teacher Education programs by the Maine Department of Education, the Medical Laboratory Technology Associate Degree program by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the Social Work program by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE), the Athletic Training Education program by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), and the Physical Therapist Assistant Program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
